What job would I do for free?

Probably spending hours helping people find the perfect thing. Whether it’s the best pair of shoes, a good series to binge, or the right bag for an outfit. I genuinely enjoy researching, comparing options, and helping people choose what fits them best. I love discovering things and making them easier for other people to find.

I think the job I would do for free is being a curator, the person behind the scenes who finds the best recommendations, organizes them, and shares them in a way that feels helpful and exciting.

I’d happily spend time finding great shoes and bags, recommending books, movies, and TV series, organizing products or ideas into easy-to-follow lists answering questions and helping people decide between options. There’s something satisfying about taking a hundred overwhelming choices and turning them into a few really good ones.

I enjoy making things feel simpler, clearer, and more exciting for people. If I could turn that into a career, it would probably look like running a recommendation page, managing an online storefront, or creating content around “the best things to buy, watch, read, or wear.”

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I Could Live Anywhere, It Would Be Paris.

When I think about where I’d choose to live if the whole world was open to me, the city that immediately comes to mind is Paris. It is a place that has always held a special allure, a blend of beauty, and history that makes it utterly captivating.

Paris is a city of unparalleled beauty. The architecture is stunning, from the iconic Eiffel Tower to the charming buildings that line the streets. I just love the City’s aesthetic, it has a sense of elegance and timelessness that is hard to find elsewhere. Beyond its physical beauty, it is a city immersed in history and culture. The Roman ruins, the grand palaces that once housed royalty, the world-class museums filled with masterpieces of art and artifacts from every era, are all fascinating.

The lifestyle, Parisians have a certain zest for life that’s infectious. They take time to savor the simple pleasures, like a leisurely meal at a cafe, a stroll through the park, etc. is something I find incredibly appealing. Let’s not forget the food omg, from the fresh croissants and strong coffee in the morning to the exquisite pastries and gourmet meals. Paris is a paradise for food lovers like me.

Of course, living in Paris wouldn’t be without its challenges. The cost of living there is high and navigating the bureaucracy can be a headache but for me the pros far outweigh the cons. The city’s beauty, culture, history, and lifestyle make it an attractive place to call home. It’s a place where you can immerse yourself in art, history, and a way of life that values beauty and pleasure. If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be Paris.

Book Review: When she unravels by Gabrielle Sands

The book I just finished reading is “When She Unravels” by Gabrielle Sands. If you’re looking for a read that’s both captivating and a little bit spicy, then you absolutely need to read this book.

The story follows the journey of a woman who’s trying to find herself. The plot kept me hooked from beginning to the end. The author has a way of making you feel like you’re right there with the main character, experiencing every emotion alongside her. The romance is *chef’s kiss*, passionate and intense but also filled with real emotion.

I don’t want to give too much away, but trust me, it’s a wild ride. it’s a story about self-discovery, embracing your desires, and finding the courage to live life on your own terms. If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, cry, and maybe blush a little, then this book is definitely the one. If you read it and enjoy it, I also recommend “When She Falls”, “When She Loves” and “When She Tempts” all by the same author Gabrielle Sands. Xoxo.

A holiday I’d invent if I had the chance: The day of unplugging.

Daily writing prompt
Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

The Day of Unplugging.

When: The last Saturday of every month.

How to Celebrate: The Day of Unplugging is a day dedicated to disconnecting from technology and reconnecting with the real world. This means no phones, no computers, no social media, and no screens. Instead, people are encouraged to spend the day engaging in activities that promote well-being and human connection. Some ideas include:

  • Spending time in nature: Go for a hike, have a picnic, or simply sit in a park and enjoy the outdoors.
  • Connecting with loved ones: Have a face-to-face conversation, play board games, or cook a meal together.
  • Pursuing hobbies: Read a book, paint, play music, or work on a craft project.
  • Practicing self-care: Take a long bath, meditate, or simply relax and enjoy some quiet time.

Why Everyone Should Celebrate: In today’s hyper-connected world, we’re constantly bombarded with information and notifications. This can lead to stress, anxiety, and a feeling of being overwhelmed. The Day of Unplugging offers a much-needed opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with ourselves and the people around us. It’s a chance to slow down, appreciate the present moment, and focus on what truly matters. It promotes mental well-being, strengthens relationships, and encourages a healthier lifestyle.

This holiday is all about balance. It’s about recognizing the importance of technology while also understanding the need for breaks and the value of human connection. It’s a day to recharge, reflect, and remember what truly makes us happy.

What’s something you believe everyone should know?

For me, one thing I believe everyone should know is the importance of continuous learning. Life is constantly evolving, and so should we. Embrace new experiences, read widely, and always be open to acquiring new knowledge and skills. It’s a key to personal growth and staying relevant in an ever-changing world.

Let’s talk about why continuous learning is such a crucial life tip.

Firstly, it keeps your mind sharp. Learning new things, whether it’s a new language, a new hobby, or simply staying updated on current events, challenges your brain and helps maintain cognitive function. This can be especially beneficial as we age, potentially warding off cognitive decline.

Secondly, continuous learning boosts your adaptability. The world is changing at an unprecedented pace, with new technologies and trends emerging constantly. By embracing a learning mindset, you become more adaptable to these changes, making you more resilient and capable of navigating new challenges.

Thirdly, it opens doors to new opportunities. Learning new skills can enhance your career prospects, allow you to pursue new interests, and broaden your horizons. It can lead to unexpected discoveries and open up possibilities you never even considered.

Finally, it fosters personal growth. Learning is not just about acquiring information; it’s about expanding your perspective, developing critical thinking skills, and becoming a more well-rounded individual. It encourages curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

So we should make it a habit to seek out new knowledge, whether through formal education, online courses, books, or simply by engaging in conversations with others. Embrace the journey of continuous learning, and you’ll find yourself not only more knowledgeable but also more fulfilled and adaptable to whatever life throws your way.

My Career Aspirations

Daily writing prompt
What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

I’ve considered a few different paths, but one that really stands out is law. I’ve always been fascinated by the way the legal system works and the impact lawyers can have. Sadly, I didn’t realize my interest in law until later on. It’s something I’m still exploring, but I’m definitely intrigued by the possibility!

Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?

Lazy days make me feel both rested and unproductive, depending on the mood and circumstances. If I genuinely need a break maybe from school or work and I decide to take a break and allow my self to relax, a lazy day can be nice, incredibly restorative, both mentally and physically. But if I have a lot of things I need to do and sort out, I may be feeling guilty about not being productive. The key is to find a balance that works for you. Sometimes you need to recharge, and sometimes you just need to get things done.
